2023 results

Congratulations to 2023 Scottish Islands Peaks Race winners, Tangaroa! Skipper Marc Turner, runners Robin Wilkins and David Wallace, with crew Steven Forteith and Nicolas Le Clanche came in with a time of 55:39:43.

Class winners were:

Class 1 – Excalibur III (Brian Young, Josh Gilchrist, Tobias Hochreutener, Angus Bruce Jones, Chris Baynham Hughes)

Class 2 – Tangaroa (Marc Turner, Steven Forteith, Nicolas Le Clanche, Robin Wilkins, David Wallace)

Class 3 – Elixir of Lorn (Andy Chapman Alex Spence, Mark Taylor, Joe Stringer, William Bowers)

Class 4, All Rounders – Quarterwave (Andrew McArthur, Roderick Aitken, Andrew Shannon, Alistair Gray, Barry Queen)

Class 5, Interservice – Grebe IX (Charlie Breach, Peter Cullen, James Harrison, James Keenan, Angus Robertson)

Class 6, Youth – no finishers

King of the Bens – Joe Symonds, Finlay Wild (Opportune)

Molls of Kintyre – no entrants

Elspeth Scott trophy for Mixed Pairs – Jasmin Paris, Konrad Rawlik (Spirit of May)

Junior King of the Bens – Sam Griffiths (Adult), Oscar Dickins (Adult), Tim Strebel, Hamish Griffiths, Archie Tulloch, Massimo Wyatt, Rosie Morris, Ellie Leigh Livingstone (Gertha 5)

Oban Slip Trophy for fastest Oban run time – Felix Wilson, Dan Ashwood (Blue Iris)

Old Dogs Trophy for highest combined team age to complete the race – Spirit of May

Fascinator Trophy for best photographic, video or written log – announced at Awards Dinner and Ceilidh

Best Battleflag – announced at Awards Dinner and Ceilidh

Bill Tulloch Award for Best Sporting Endeavour – announced at Awards Dinner and Ceilidh

Bosun’s Whistle for Best Piper – announced at Awards Dinner and Ceilidh
